Presenting at the first ever ‘YORA’ conference
In September, we prepared a poster to present at the Yorkshire Obesity Research Alliance’s (YORA) first ever conference. We also presented an overview of the ENHANCE project at this conference.
The poster we printed has the reason why we needed the ENHANCE project and what the Complications of Excess Weight services (CEW) are. We also gave an overview of the plan for ENHANCE and how we plan to learn more about people’s experiences of CEW services.
YORA is a group of people, including researchers, doctors, important decision-makers, and regular folks, who are interested in studying obesity in Yorkshire. They work together to help improve how obesity is managed and treated in the area.
The conference was really interesting. We heard from many different people including other researchers, decision-makers and people with lived experience of obesity.
When we know more about the CEW and people’s experiences of these services, we hope to share these findings at the next YORA conference.
